Together, We Deliver: Supporting Ukraine's Firefighters with Vital Aid
As we prepare for our next convoy to Ukraine, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come together. Since we began our missions to support firefighters across different regions of the country, your incredible support has made all the difference and here is what we have delivered to Ukraine as of 28/11/24:-
Firefighting gear: 11,802 tunics, 11,922 leggings, 2,386 helmets, 3,070 pairs of gloves, 2,744 pairs of boots, and 2,750 flash hoods.- Specialized equipment: 113 RTC cutting gear sets, 111 portable generators (2kW), 3 high-capacity generators (+125kVA), 3 decontamination units, 83 gas-tight suits, 37 chainsaws, 3 thermal imaging cameras, and 925 hoses.- Rescue tools: 201 stretchers, 160 rope rescue kits, 1 boat with an engine, 128 water rescue kits, 464 lifejackets, and 143 drysuits.- Safety gear: 100 ballistic vests and 100 ballistic helmets.- Lighting and pumps: 180 torches and 37 portable water pumps.- Fire service vehicles: 36 donated vehicles.
We do not receive any government funding, which makes collecting the equipment a challenging task that requires immense effort. Every single piece of equipment we gather is vital, especially when time is of the essence for those in urgent need.
With your donations and the ongoing support of our partners, we are able to make these critical missions happen, offering hope and assistance to those facing extreme challenges. We are endlessly thankful to Blythswood Care, Pick-Ups for PEACE, LUSH UK, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service for your dedication and generosity.
We are beyond grateful to have you all by our side on this journey. Thank you for being a part of it!
